Booking your wedding photographer can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s easy. Just follow these 5 steps.
STEP 1. Meet with your potential photographer/s before you book them.
If your wedding photographers have a studio or premises, try to meet up with them at their location to see where they are doing their magic. It helps if you know where they are and see that they have been doing photography for a while to help you make your decision
This can help to make sure you are making the right decision when booking your photographer.
STEP 2. View their work.
When booking your wedding photographer, you should ask your photography company for some examples of their work. Maybe they have a printed-out album, a wedding website, or a blog.
STEP 3. Ask for references
Have they shoot a wedding recently, ask them to see some photos from throughout the whole wedding, low light and outdoors. This helps you to see how professional they are. You hear some horror stories when it comes to booking your wedding photographer and when you follow these steps, you can avoid booking the wrong photographer.
STEP 4. Look at their social media
You can often spot a good photography company from how busy they are. It doesn’t say that if they haven’t posted something on their social media for a while that they are not good, but if they have not posted something for years with at least 2 or 3 reviews, I would not risk it.
STEP 5. Book a pre-wedding photoshoot with your photographer
You can at least meet your photographers or book a shoot with them to get to know them a bit better. You can learn a lot during this session to decide if you are comfortable with the photographer by experienced the session and seeing the final product.
Enjoy your wedding. You did your preparation well and now you can relax. Nothing to be worried about.
