Chantel and Morne – Het Vlock Casteel wedding photography
This lovely wedding started with an amazing drive. We got to travel to Reebek Kasteel, one or the most beautiful towns in the Cape, with lots of little bars and restaurants to hang out at. On top of that, we were going to capture Het Vlock Casteel wedding photography! Het Vlock Casteel is a gorgeous red brick castle, surrounded with lush mountains and winyards. What a perfect scenery for a wedding!
The wedding started with morning preparations. It was so lovely to watch friends and family assis the bride every step of her way! Chantel looked absolutely breathtaking in her shimmering gown, with elegant hair style and a gentle, fresh make-up. The bridesmaids looked lovely in their full length, teal infinity dresses. We were all speechless when the bride walked down the aisle of the Riebeek Kasteel church.
Het Vlock Casteel is an amazing venue with an increasing following of enthusiasts. Every detail of the venue is perfected and looks like it was taken from the real medieval castle. The decor at Chantel and Morne’s wedding was perfectly matched with the venue, the colours complemented the tone of the walls and wooden elements. We loved the massive proteas in glass vases placed as centrepieces on each table. The gentle blush colour of these magnificent flowers was also represented in the wedding cake. Well done, Chantel, you really put your creativity to work! Our favorite were the “rolling plants” painted white and decorated with crystals. They were hanging from the high ceilings adding shimmer to the reception hall. We also loved the guest sitting arrangements printed on the wine bottle labels and hanging at the entrance. There was so many surprising decor elements that enhanced this Het Vlock Casteel wedding photography!
“What brought us together was actually a modern Cinderella story, Morne asked me for a dance just as I was about to go home and after our first dance on my way out we quickly exchanged numbers, not thinking anything would come of it. We ended up going on a date that lead to me visiting him in hospital after a knee operation, and so after 6 years and many more dancing we tied the knot in our own little castle, Het Vlock Casteel.”
“Every moment was special, but the most special moment was when most of our guest has gone home and the last dance of the evening was playing. We were dancing and I just looked up and around me to all the fairy lights and decor, all the hard work of the past year and knew that I was finally married to my best friend and soul mate. Together we took in all the details of our day and the world just seem to be right and everything as it should be. And I realized that in that moment I found true peace and happiness.”
“My advice to future brides is to take time during your day and just take in all the details and hard work, keep in mind that sometimes there will be things that doesn’t go according to plan, but don’t let it spoil your day, make the best of it, because it is really over in a flash. In the end its about two people starting a new chapter in their lives, and you write the first page, so make it beautiful.”
Thank you, Chantel and Morne, for trusting us with the memories of your special day. We enjoyed every moment of your beautiful wedding!
