GREAT WEDDING PHOTOS IN 7 STEPS
STEP 1. BEFORE THE WEDDING
If you really want great wedding photos, follow these steps. When you choose a venue for your preparation the morning of your wedding day, it is best if you choose something that will accommodate a place for you, your accessories, your amount of bridesmaids or groomsmen, and your photographer and videographer to still move freely and not be I the way. If it has good natural light, that is a bonus. Space plays a role in good quality, clean-looking photos.

STEP 2. THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING
For your wedding photos try to have the details ready for your photographer/ videographer so that when they get there, no time is wasted by looking for your shoes, jewelry, etc. The photographers or videographers can then focus on being creative and use the time to the fullest. It is always great to have a tidy room with no bags or clothes in the background of your photos or time waisted to clean the room only when the photographer/ videographers arrive. If you are worried about having a dirty dress for the rest of the night after the couple shoot, it might be a good idea to have a second dress, especially if it is a rainy day.

STEP 3. WALKING DOWN THE AISLE
Yes, that is your future husband standing at the end of the aisle. We know it is impossible to wait for one more second to spend the rest of your life with him… BUT, the dress was expensive, plus you put a lot of time and effort into this day! Let him get a good look at you. Spend some time to take all of your surroundings in, smile, and walk slow. Don’t forget to look up. Remember the expression on his face when he first sees you. We would love to have time to capture all of these moments for your wedding photos.

STEP 4. AT THE CEREMONY
When you finally get to the time to put on the rings, don’t cover the whole ring with your hand, only use two fingers so that the ring/diamond can still be visible on the photos. If you get to the part where you get to kiss him, kiss slowly and tastefully. Be in the moment. Feelings and expressions make the best photos.

STEP 5. WEDDING PHOTOS & PORTRAITS
When it is time to take photos of the family and friends after the ceremony, ask a bridesmaid, best man, or MC to help with gathering all the people you want in your photos with the list you provided. Preferably someone that knows the names of the guests. When it is time for the couple shoot, it is advisable to have a bridesmaid nearby to help with your dress and bouquet.

STEP 6. RECEPTION TIME
To use time effectively, do the first dance when you enter the reception. Preferably do a rehearsed dance with dips and twirls and some fun! Stiff dancing makes stiff photos. Ask family and friends to try to keep the speeches under 5min per person. Have some spare time in your timeline for a few night time photos. These photos are great to enlarge for your living room!

STEP7. GOOD DJ FOR WEDDING PHOTOS
It is important to have a good DJ that can read the crowd. When your guests have a good time, it shows! We want those images of your mom and dad while they are dancing on footloose or your sorority friends having a reunion in the middle of the dance floor. These can be some good memories to look back on!
