Laetitia and Tyron’s Die Woud wedding photography
I had no doubts that Laetitia and Tyron’s Die Woud wedding photography is going to be very special, but I wasn’t prepared for the full impact!
Starting from the groom’s preparation, everything was unique and special. Tyron and his groomsmen got ready at best men’s family home in Napier. This grand manor house with antique european furniture and life-size paintings was the perfect scene for the groomsmen! Tyron allowed us to capture the process of assembling a kilt and even found an antique rifle to pose with. We could have spent hours strolling around the lush gardens and taking photographs, but we had to get to the ladies! We left Fairfield feeling like we have touched the history.
The bride and her bridesmaids were enjoying the preparations at Arabella hotel in Kleinmont. The room was filled with makeup, dresses and laughter as we arrived. There is no better recipe for a great morning than a group of girlfriends preparing for a grand event! The bridesmaids dresses were all similar colour, but different style. This made the girls look so unique in all shades of peach and powdery pink! I absolutely love bridal preparation, with all the excitement and anticipation for the main event. We all sighed when Laetitia finally put her wedding dress on and walked out. Her wedding gown was perfectly tailored to her gorgeous figure and consisted of layers upon layers of chiffon. Delicate fabric was perfectly suited for Laetitia’s flawless skin!
The guests all stood up for the procession of the bride. First came flower girls, dropping white petals onto the aisle. Bridesmaids followed down, carrying gorgeous bouquets of flowers. The bride left us all speechless when she came down with her father. Afternoon sun peaking through the trees illuminated her flower crown, as she walked towards Tyron. The ceremony, conducted amongst the trees, was a perfect fairytale. Finally we witnessed the couple exchange rings and kiss under the flower arch.
Laetitia’s and Tyron’s Die Woud wedding photography started amongst the trees, on one of many white walkways. These trails transform the forest into a scene from Narnia movie! The flickering shadows created illusive patterns, as the couple walked through this magical forest, enjoying their first moments as Mr and Mrs. Another great discovery for Die Woud wedding photography was the river. Covered with rocks and moss, the river banks made ideal location for delicate bridal portraits.
The venue itself is a translucent tent with crystal chandeliers hanging among the trees. It really feels like the reception is happening in the middle of the forest, in the glamorous, yet rustic setting. Laetitia hand-picked some really creative and dedicated wedding service providers to create her fairytale decor. Cascades of flowers covered the raw wooden tables, beautifully designed stationery indicated the sitting plan.
The guests enjoyed fine catering prepared by the chef and listened to speeches. Finally everybody gathered around the dance floor for the first dance. Laetitia and Tyron enjoyed their first dance as a married couple, while we captured their special moment on camera.
We left Die Woud feeling that we have witnessed an extraordinary celebration. Not only we got to photograph an incredibly beautiful bride, but also captured the magic of the venue and the perfect selection of details chosen for the wedding. Thank you, Laetitia, for choosing us to capture your Die Woud wedding photography!
