Liesl and Anton’s secret forest wedding
Liesl and Anton’s secret forest wedding. There was a ceremony in the forest, amongst the trees covered in moss and ivy. There was the bride, dresses in shades of blush, and a groom wearing a blue suit. There were proteas growing out of the soil everywhere.
Liesl and Anton’s secret forest wedding was a feast for the eyes! The couple exchanged the rings and said their vows the day before, as they wanted this moment only for themselves. The actual forest wedding happened the next day, with only the closest friends and family involved. The guests sat amongst the trees, in the most breathtaking, old forest at Lourensford Estate. The sun was picking through the leaves, making the whole scene shimmering and dreamy.
Liesl and Anton’s daughters loved walking in front of the bride, throwing petals for the princess to arrive. When you are a girl the age of five, it’s by far the most exciting event of life. The bride arrived and the ceremony started. We couldn’t believe how perfect was this secret forest wedding, the setting beats any building or cathedral. This ancient forest, with lush greenery and delicious monsters at the feet, provides the perfect background for this very special wedding.
Our video team captured the vows, with all the touching moments and tears. Anton and Lies, you did great! Your vows were beyond beautiful.
After the forest wedding the guests hopped on tractors (yes!) and relocated to the gardens for some cocktails and snacks.
The main reception was held at The Millhouse and it was bursting of laughter and happiness. The toast followed toast, the hugs were endless. We could tell the guests were hand-picked for this evening and they play a special role in bride and groom’s lives. Thank you for making us part of this magical evening! We enjoyed those magical two days of love and commitment to one another.
Wishing you all the best on your journey ahead, dear Liesl and Anton!
