Doing Cara and Craigs Jewish wedding photography was such an amazing experience. The day was rich with culture and tradition from start to end and we feel so grateful to have been part of the day.
The beautiful bride got ready in her family home where she grew up, surrounded by her many adoring bridesmaids. Cara’s stunning lace wedding gown was handmade specially for her and we loved how the long elegant lace sleeves were emphasised against her warm skin. The bridesmaids emerald green necklaces were contrasted beautifully against their charcoal black dresses. We were so excited to capture these beautiful dresses in our Jewish wedding photography. As the ladies were getting dressed up and ready, Craig was doing the same with his groomsmen, looking as dashing as ever in their suits. The excitement and nerves generated by the men were palatable as we took the opportunity to get some amazing shots in.
The ceremony kicked off with a bang, going in accordance to Jewish tradition, Cara waited patiently and eagerly for Graig to walk through the doors at the shul. The entire ceremony was full of picture perfect opportunities for our Jewish wedding photography. There were so many beautiful moments that melted our hearts, such as the mother of the bride giving her a cup, which as been in their family for more than 300 year, of wine to drink. Our hearts also melted with the special tradition of the bride whispering personalised wishes to all her loved ones as part of Jewish traditions. The ceremony was concluded with the crushing of the glass by the groom and the celebrations were to only get bigger.
As with all Jewish weddings the reception was filled to the brim with festivities that pay tribute to their culture. The ladies danced separately to the man on the dance floor, divided by rope, but soon all came together after the bride and groom were lifted in their chairs and brought together. It was such a special moment for us to capture our Jewish wedding photography, with the extra aid of confetti to enhance the excitement and joy. There were countless dancing rituals and traditions that followed, accompanied by the well-known and amazing band, The Kings Men. There was also a Kosher feast available that would make anyone’s tastebuds tingle, it certainly made ours!
The celebrations continued on into the evening and everyone remained in high spirits. Thank you for giving us this opportunity Cara and Craig, Mazel Tov!
